How to Give

More than 6 million or 16% of the older adults in our country are living near or below the poverty level. In Southwestern Illinois, this means there are nearly 19,000 older adults struggling just to get by from day to day - struggling to pay for essentials like food and medication. Poverty is real, and it’s a serious problem for older adults.
In light of the current government budget constraints, we have recognized the need to raise funds from the private sector. These additional resources will be essential in order for us to sustain vitally important programs and services for the 116,000 older adults who live in Southwestern Illinois.
Because of this need, the Area Agency on Aging of Southwestern Illinois has established a new not-for-profit organization, the Development Association for the Aging, according to Chief Executive Officer, Joy Paeth. The purpose of the new Association will be to serve as the Agency’s fund-raising component.
We need your help. Please join us in providing vitally important services and support that empower the elderly. Government funding for these crucial services is no longer adequate, and these older adults need our support.
Please help us help them. All contributions are tax-deductible.
