Become an OASIS Tutor!
Share your love of reading and make a difference in a child's life.
As an OASIS Tutor volunteer you:
- Select the school
- Select the time (just one hour a week)
- Work with the same child all year
- Receive free training and materials
- Receive ongoing support through monthly meetings with other tutors
No teaching experience is required. The role of an OASIS tutor is that of a friend, offering experience, pathence,
encouragement and caring. Over 5,000 tutors age 50 and older in 21 cities nationwide have already joined and touched
the lives of more than 115,000 children.
